Hermandad, INC is dedicated to serving as an advocacy and support entity for citizens on the United States territory of Puerto Rico not limited to: (1) grants for students seeking to uplift their communities; (2) enhance their educational opportunities; and assistance with Puerto Rican nonprofit organizations in need of acquiring resources not readily available on the island.

Close your eyes and listen. When we had our February fundraiser in Puerto Rico, one audience member did. He learned that our lead performer was visually impaired, blind. He closed his eyes as he listened to the rest of the performance and found a connection.

Our Mission
Create awareness of the ongoing needs of Puerto Rican citizens addressing emergency needs and ensuring youth have post secondary opportunities to make Puerto Rico an affordable choice where they can live.
Our Vision
To insure physical, spiritual, emotional, emergency and post secondary educational needs are provided to all citizens throughout the island of Puerto Rico.
The Jack and Eunice Knight Memorial Fund Youth Grant
This is a grant from a fund donated in the memory of John G. (Jack) and Eunice K. Knight. Jack and Eunice were long time residents of Northern Virginia and noted for their active role in the life of their community. He was also known for his support of employees regardless of their economic background or country of origin. Both took roles in various boards and helping organizations. Jack’s work included board member of many of the community organizations including the library board, little league, regional industry advisory liaison as well as a member of the local Rotary.
